Drop Box: iPhone/iPad App Review

dropbox app screenshotI was recently given an iPad for work use, and since that day, I have been trying to figure out how to leave my laptop at work and just take my iPad with me everywhere. The main things I need to do my job is my phone and email, and since I love the way the iPad does email, I knew it should be easy to leave my laptop behind. The thing I realized is that I still need my documents (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) for reference, to prevent me having to lug around my paper folders as well. Enter the greatest iPad app: DropBox.

DropBox allows you to put any type of document, picture, folder, etc, in the "dropbox" file on your computer and it will automatically update your iPad (or iPhone, for that matter) with the exact same documents. While I can not edit the documents while they are in DropBox on my iPad, I have complete visibility to them. All I have to do is click on the DropBox app icon on my iPad and I can see every document that I transferred and click on any of them to see the full document. It has come in very handy, and makes it so much simpler to work away from my desk without having to lug around heavy bags full of computers and documents.

Best part (as always) DropBox is FREE!
