Guest Blogging: Your Family Recipes

poticia

We've been thrilled with the positive reactions we've been getting from our readers. Our posts about food seem to get the most views and comments.

Between our two families we've been able to dig up some amazing recipes and now we'd like to throw the net out to the Second Snack readers. We'd love to showcase some of your family recipes right here on the blog.

The rules are simple!
  1. We need a list of ingredients and instructions on how to prepare
  2. The food can be as complex as a full meal, or as simple as a good snack
  3. We need pictures of the process and the finished product
  4. And lastly, a couple paragraphs about why this recipe ended up in your family and any other details you think will be interesting
Bonus points go to those who invite us over to witness the preparation and taste the final meal. Hey, we know, this is a blatant request for you to invite us over. If there is good food, we'll be there. Send us an email (sarah@secondsnack.com or thomas@secondsnack.com) or contact us through Facebook/Twitter if you are interested in submitting a family recipe.

Happy cooking!

If you guys want to come over sometime to try my bacon cheeseburger meatloaf, I've tweaked the recipe enough for my liking.

I want the bacon cheeseburger meat loaf recipe too! Can you share it with us. One other one I was going to mention, and I honestly don't know if it's already on the blog somewhere, but that would be Grandma Zim's raised waffle recipe. It's honestly not an "old" family recipe but she's started making them as far back as I can remember. Should I put the recipe in another post to share it??

The picture of the potica looks might good! Only a few weeks until Easter so we'll have a fresh batch then!

don't post the recipe dad, you need to invite us over to make it with you and we can do a blog post about it!

Poticia will be up soon!

Nice potica photo! Makes me so hungry just looking at it. I'll have to bake a batch for Easter, too.
